Memory Lane

ok, just came back from KL today...and it was an awesome trip! was only there for a very short 3 days, but i must say that at least i spent all the time there to the full!

managed to meet quite a no. of people from melb, and also my ex-monash coursemates...some of whom i've never seen for about 3 years..hahaha! that meeting ended very abruptly..as we were talking at Asia Cafe in SS15, one person saw the police booking cars for illegal parking..and almost half the group left cause they had to move their cars away...lol! typical malaysians!

so my trip to kL was mainly to eat lots of missed malaysian food and to visit frens. a pity that i didnt manage to meet up with all that i wanted to, but at least i managed to meet some...i'm only human..^_^

this trip to KL was really a memory lane for me as well...i lived in there from 2004 to 2005 before coming to melb...and a lot has changed in KL...be it for better (expansions of shopping centres) or for worse (traffic jams and parking fees)....hahaha! as jon or jane or my brother drove me around, i would be brought back to those years when i myself was driving along those roads, going to places for appointments and yum chas....the language, the people, the food...all appeared so familiar to me =) more familiar than the food and places here in singapore....
for some reason, i have more emotional attachment to KL than to singapore...

this trip also gave me a lot of personal time (well...like after 1am alone in the room) to just reflect and plan for 2009...to spend time with myself, reflect and ponder about certain things and just withdraw myself from the pace of life, situations of life...just in my own world =)

anyway, just wanna shout out a big thank you to Calvin, Jon and Jane! You know why....hahahahahha!

oh wells...gonna start work soon again...well..working from singapore lar..not back in melb yet....17 more days to melb...
