We Did It

In 2005, when i was only in my 2nd year of uni, i asked myself what i was going to do after i graduate from my Bachelor's degree. I found the answer in pursuing an honours degree.

In 2006, i did well for my exams and was awarded a scholarship to do my honours. My parents didnt have to pay a single cent for my tuition fees. The scholarship also provided a reasonable amount of living allowance.

In 2007, i commenced my Honours degree. I remembered that after the 1st lecture of my hounours class, i said to myself "perhaps i should drop honours, this is too tough." And true enough, this year has been a year of struggles and pain. yet, there was immense satisfaction whenever i had victory over something difficult. this year has been stretching for me academically and also spiritually. balancing church and uni life was not easy..but i pulled through, and enjoyed every single time of it.

today, i reap the rewards. I obtained a 1st Class Honours degree. My results over the 8 subjects is 83, an achievement that i never thought i could obtain.

At this point in time, I would have said "I did it" a few years back. But today, i want to say "We did it". I couldnt have done it by myself. To everyone who has been around with me from 2004 till now, especially those around me THIS YEAR, no matter how long you have known me or what, THANK YOU for your support and encouragement in all possible ways that you have poured out onto me.

Finally, to my dad and mum (if you still read my blog) who have been the silent pillar of this son of theirs, this result is for the both of you. We have done it. Thank you. And i love the both of you lots!
