Thank You

Continuing on what happened during the take home exam paper today...which is no. 7 in the list of the earlier blog entry, talking to friends face to face...well, Calvin and Jane came over to my place this afternoon to cook lunch for me...so nice...

hmmz..what did they cook? While Jane cooked LOTS of potato with chicken and tuna and cheese...Calvin cooked jinsheng soup (^_^) with leftover potatoes from Jane and some banana pancake with chocolate ice-cream...YUMILICIOUS!

Really take my hats to both of them..so creative in their menu..haha!.

Think in the midst of my exam stress today, i was really blessed by the generosity of these 2 wonderful people! Thanks Jane and Calvin...really appreciate it lots...

and to my housemate....thank you also lar! Dun be angry lar...couldnt call you coz "No mobile phones allowed during examination. Anyone caught in possession of the mobile phone is considered cheating and may be excluded from the University"

What exams allow you to:
1. Use your mobile phone anytime
2. Go to the toilet as many times as you want
3. Surf the internet
4. Have meals during the paper itself
5. Take a nap
6. Have breaks in between when you're tired of writing
7. Talk to friends face to face
8. Have 24 hours to do your paper

A take home exam.. yes, today was the start of my Macroeconomics take home exam paper. It was emailed to me at 10:02am and i have to submit it by 10:02am tomorrow. And i've finished it. IN fact, i finished it in 11 hours and 15 mins. Not saying that it was an easy paper, but rather, there's nothing much more i can do. I have done my best and i have no regrets (sounds like a copyrighted phrase from someone from some idol show..but who cares...)

To conclude..it's the weirdest kind of exam i have ever had...This is because i did everything numbered from 1 to 7 in the list above...and bearing in mind, it's an exam.

I hope i do well..i really do...i really did my best...

Dinner! Calvin (in blue tshirt) gave us a dinner treat last night. We arrived in the kitchen of his Halls early and decided to take a video of the action in there...MUAHAHAHAHA! IS he a good cook? well, you decide from the video...

I Killed ...

I was so upset this evening...i killed a small bird...probably a baby bird..
I was driving towards a friend's place to pick her for dinner with my housemates when i actually saw a bird standing in the middle of the road. I tried to avoid it, but somehow the bird moved and it was run over by my car tyres....

The worst thing was..it didnt die immediately. As i drove on, i looked through my rear mirror and i saw the bird struggling on the road. It was flapping its wing relentlessly but the damage was really great..it could barely move. It was an aweful sight for me!

When i picked up my friend and drove past that bird again, it was still struggling. However, standing beside it was another bird which i believed was related to the dying bird. I couldnt imagine how it felt for that bird to see its own kind on the verge of death. Shortly soon, the struggling bird stopped moving. It ceased to exist. It died..

I was really upset....i killed a life....=(

But how many times are we like that bird whereby we stand in the middle of danger and when we get knocked down, our friends can do more than watch because we are beyond the point of reconciliation? And one thing for sure, it's painful for your friends to watch you struggle, cause you are one of us!

Courage

Sometimes when you lack courage to face up to some issues, that courage will have to come from outside...
WHere does that 'outside' come from? From things or people whom you least expect...open your eyes and see, open your ears and hear...

A Blessed Friend
Hmmz...i was just telling Calvin last night that i was a little sick, exhausted and having a sore throat. i didnt expect him to take it to heart...
I woke up this morning feeling lethargic and my throat was still sore...i looked around the house for strepsils but to no avail...giving up, i went to uni for my lecture..
during my lecture, I received an sms from calvin asking me how i was and i replied that i was still having a sore throat...he then asked for my office number as he said that someone had wanted him to pass me a very important letter...
so after class, i made my way to my office and shortly after, calvin came to my office with the 'letter': A box of strepsils and a warm bottle of honey water for the sore throat....
You made my day brother...thank you so much for being such a faithful brother and friend....^_^

I'm better now..the sore throat is gone..but i'm still very tired..haha! MAybe i need about 10 more hours of sleep....can someone just tell me how i can stop waking up 3 times a night???? ^_^

Missing You
Was looking at some photos that i took with my maternal grandma last year in around september...emotions began to well up within my heart...
I just realised that in the photo, there were tears in my grandma's eyes...her eyes were red...
I felt sad...I miss her...I really do...
