so, on the very 1st day of lunar new year, my family went over to JB for steamboat dinner at my xiao shushu's (smallest uncle) place.
as part of the tradition, the table was full of food and all of us had a splendid time eating. we had prawns, fishballs, meat balls, dumplings. tofu, vege, clamp meat and blah blah blah...(i dunno the name of some food..hehez!). but i guess there was too much food as there were still leftovers by the time everyone was full. so i had to go that extra mile and eat a little bit more. so i was 120% full..any more and i could just vomit..hahaz!
we were treated to champagne, chocolates, rou gan, biscuits and some fruits after dinner. i was also entertained by my youngest cousin (with down syndrome), mei mei, who is engaged in playing wif everyone...she is just so cute! all the funny facial expressions, the comments she make when someone disturbs her, everyone just laughs!
we then proceeded to my uncle's porch to put some fireworks. i think he wasted RM40 as the fireworks lasted for no more than 15 seconds. there were supposed to be 16 fireworks..but i think there only half of tt amt..haha!
after the rather nice but disappointing fireworks, we went to the back of the house to light firecrackers. the reason y we lit it at the back of the house is coz we dun wanna the police to catch us!
i think this is the 1st time i saw a firecracker light and burst in front of my eyes. my experience? it was loud....very loud, to the extent tt i had ringing in my ears for a few minutes. i recorded the whole process on my phone..so if u wanna see it, just ask me out...*hint hint*..lolx!
all parties come to an end and it was time for my family to head our way back to singapore. the last funny thing tt happened was mei mei! as i opened the car doors and my parents busy saying bye to everyone outside the porch, mei mei came up to me and tried to get onto the car. as she was short and had difficulty, i helped her into the car. she got in from the left side of the car and started bouncing on the seat from the left to the right. it was only after a few minutes then my uncle realised tt mei mei was inside my dad's car and asked how did she get into the car. everyone then burst into laughter coz they had not noticed her get into the car.to them, it was like magic tt she had gotten into my dad's car! my uncle then opened the door and took her our from the right side. this whole episode was just to comical to me..it's so funny! no words can really express the kind of funnyness i felt inside. to put the icing on the cake, my uncle joked wif mei mei tt the police will catch her at the customs as she had no passport! hahahaha!
so tt sums up this wonderful day!
