~ 12:22 PM ~
13th Jan will go down a long way to remember. it was the day where 5 malaysian states had no electricity. the state i m living in, selangor, was not spared from this toopid incident.
i was not home when the blackout happened. i was shopping for some groceries in Giant located at Asia Jaya (opp Armada Hotel)at abt 12:25pm. i was making my way to the cashier where i noticed the light bulbs flickered once and boom! no lights! the immediate response: cheers fomr the staff members....gila is wat i can only say.
spent 15 mins at the cashier coz they had to reboot the whole system. during the wait, i asked the cashier whether she could just take note the prices and collect cash and just return the change as usual. she said cant. she said tt she had to use the system.
wehn the customers were increasingly frustrated, the manager ran out and helped to reboot the system. the scanner was back to normal and after i paid, the manager instructed the other cashiers whose system have not been rebooted to just write down the prices and collect money....really felt like punching the cashier lorz...never listen to me! dia sangat teruk!!!! see me small boy dun listen to me larz...malaysia, THINK AND BE MORE FLEXIBLE! BEND THE RULES BUT NOT BREAK THE RULES!!!!!
anywayz, i thought tt the black out was only confined to the whole buiding there (coz the other shops also suffered frm blackout), but my bro gave me a call to inform me tt our house oso had no electricity.
it was only later tt i found out tt a large area had been affected.
when i reached home, i was thankful tt the lifts were operating (but only 2 of the 4 were functioning), so i was spared of climbing 18 storeys
having no electricity is really depressing. had to shower wif cold water (reminds me of my camping days though..lolx). cant switch on my com. no tv to watch. the only thing u could do was to stone. so i chose to bring out my business stats notes to revise. then took a short nap...and waited. i even brought out candles as standby in case electricity was not restored by nightfall.
finally, at 4:30pm, my lights and fans came on..and here i m to write my expeirence of having no electricity. seriously, i m hopping tt someone's head will roll as a sign of taking responsibility for the serious blackout. so much economic loss and personal inconvenience is sustained...i dun think tt a simple sorry will do. someone must resign. but knowing malaysia's style...they will treat it as though nothing happened....
malaysia, truly asia??
