"Sorry, we're booked" WHAT THE??!!!

I was very ill yesterday. To the extent that i had to miss a lecture and to the extent that i finally decided to go see the doctor. From past experience, i knew the receptionist was going to tell me that they were fully booked for the rest of the day and that i will have to come back tomorrow. So i was prepared to make an appointment then for Wednesday.
I made my way to the clinic in university and asked the receptionist with a very sore throat whether i could make an appointment with a doctor for tomorrow. With a very hostile and impolite look, she replied "we're booked. we're booked for tomorrow. no more. come back next week." After having said her piece, she turned back to her computer, totally ignoring my presence. I swear to you i was cursing her in my heart and wanted to shout at her. If she was Aussie, i may understand why she's so rude..but SHE'S ASIAN!! And she acted in a way as though i owe her a lifetime's worth of favour! There was no sympathy at all, no compassion at all. I was even more astonished that they were fully booked for the rest of the week by Tuesday! Is there only 1 doctor at monash uni??!!! it's really pathetic!
I desperately needed to see a doctor cause it's been a long time since i felt so sick. I gave Christian a call and he kindly drove me to a clinic in Clayton which i visited before.
Guess what the receptionist at that clinic said..."we're booked for today. you'll have to make an appointment for tomorrow." I swear to you again i really felt like slapping her across the face yelling "Cant you see that i'm very sick and am in need of a doctor?!!" But being a good christian, i controlled my emotions and kindly replied her saying that i'm in pretty bad shape and would have to see a doctor. She obliged, in a very reluctant and rude way, saying "you'll then have to wait for a long time."
In the end, i did see the doctor...and the doctor was horrible..the way she put the stick into my mouth to check my throat...i nearly choked to death! It was as though she was inducing me to vomit! She was so violent!
I really really hate the medical system here in Australia. Make appointment make appointment...here's a suggestion...the next time someone wants to see a doctor but have to book an appointment for a later day, i suggest that person to deliver a coffin at the appointment, leaving them a message saying "It's too late."

Why don't they just listen to me??

If you ever wondered why no matter how much you teach, advice, counsel and tell a person about something and that person doesnt listen and follow, here's the reason.

You have not earned the right to speak into that person's life.

OUCH! That hurts...
