well, been watching a jap show for the past 2 months or so. yesterday was the last episode and i really liked it. it did not disappoint me..haha!

if u remembered a blog previously, the show i was watching is abt a guy (Azumi) who is abt to turn blind and there's a gal (Shiki) who is willing to take care of him foreva.
in the show, Azumi once asked Shiki

"If you were me, what is the last thing you would want to see before u go blind?"

Shiki couldnt think of anything then.

SHe finally gave her answer in yesterday's episode..

"Tomorrow. The tomorrow with you and I..." -----> so touching..isnt it?

anywayz, the scene when Azumi went blind was sad and warm

Azumi and Shiki were standing side by and side and admiring the nice country side scenery of Nagasaki. Azumi realised tt the time has come. He pulled Shiki in front of him, took a few steps back, and looked at her. What he saw was Shiki in the scenery background, with the background slowly fading away, then Shiki slowly fading away. The last thing left was Shiki's face with a wide smile and byebye...he was blind.

Think it was a great scene accompanied with great music. ahhz...good show..wonder when the next time will be for me to watch a good show, knowing that Aussie has no Asian shows for me to watch...sigh sigh sigh

sorry, no translation..haha!

was reading Malaysia's Star newspaper online. under the opinions section where the public can write their comments on certain issues, i came across the following:

Police just doing their job in enforcing traffic regulations

"ON the one hand, we would gleefully whack the police as we grouse about their tidak apa (apathetic) attitude every time we find them standing by and ignoring people who would flout traffic rules and regulations, like speeding, jumping red lights, or riding motorcycles without helmets.

Yet on the other hand, should the police begin taking stern action as in the case of Lawan Kuda New Village where we find some politicians trying to make an issue out of the police action, “600 summonses in one village” (The Star, May 19).

When I read about the call for Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) to conduct a public enquiry on the high number of summonses received by the villagers, I could not help wondering whether it was necessary for Suhakam or any other body to start investigating such issues as though they have nothing better to do or as if there is an abuse of power on the part of the police.

Even the call for the Inspector-General of Police to visit the village is ridiculous.

Besides, won’t such whim-and-fancy investigations discourage our police in future from taking action since it would be safer and less work (from having to answer lots of queries) to do nothing?

If anything, the high number of summonses ought to be the shame of the villagers concerned since it shows clearly they have been thumbing their noses at the law.

And one shouldn’t really say naive things like, “the villagers are peaceful folk who lead a simple life.” So what? Does that mean peaceful folk are incapable of flouting the law or should be above the law?

The entire episode only serves to remind us of how selfish humans are: It is not okay when others disobey the law but there is nothing wrong “when I do it”.

If we really want our police officers to be effective enforcers to maintain some semblance of law and orderliness, it is high time we stopped molly-coddling people who are simply behaving as though they are above the law.

And politicians should learn to behave in a mature and respectable way instead of taking the populist approach like championing the “rights” of such people."

SILHOUETTE,

Cameron Highlands.

my opinion:
i agree with the writer tt the villagers should pay for their defiance to obey the law. there is no excuse or exception for anyone who disrespects the law. i dun feel any sympathy for any of the villagers who got summoned...even if they are penniless! if they cant settle the summons, pay in another way. i m not being a cold blooded person here. but everyone knows tt not obeying traffic laws (eg. motorcyclists not wearing helmets) are punishable. if one is unable to bear the consequences, why commit the fault in the 1st place? becoz of their unwillingess to bear the consequences, they are taking advantage of their grp and size to exert their authority over the police, which in my opinion is disgraceful as they are undermining the authority of the traffic police.
if they dun obey the law, wat is the purpose of having laws in the 1st place? those who said tt“the villagers are peaceful folk who lead a simple life.” are implying tt the laws only apply to certain areas! these ppl ought to be kicked... wat makes them think tt they are above the law? wat gives them the audacity to challenge the police for an act they very well knew was a CRIME?!
in my opinion, the easiest solution is, if u cant afford to bear the brunt of ur crime, scrape ur freaking vehicle. there's a chinese saying, when translated means "when u remove weeds, u need to pluck out the roots." so since these villagers' are plagued by summons, remove the source of those summons...the source refers to their vehicles, not the police!!!!!!
but of coz, the writer has highlighted the issue of double standards in our traffic police. there are certain times tt i really feel like giving a kick to those incompetent 'law enforcers'. the bottom line: i dun have faith in the police, and i know tt if one day i become a victim of anything, there's nothing for me to rely on.

had a great time today! 12 of us went to watch Star Wars: Episode III today! if i m not wrong, i think this is the biggest grp i have gone out wif in this 1.5 yrs for any form of outing (excluding the birthday potluck at jean's house earlier this yr)..in case i forget any ppl i gotta know today, let me name the 12 ppl.
they r: yew leong, natalie, stephen, sharon, cho xiang, jia qi, seith (jia qi's bf frm HELP college), justin, gino, sarah and i. hehez..1 more person's name, saya sudah lupa! maaf maaf!
b4 the movie, we had lunch at secret's recipe. had some type of sphagetti,hehez..forgot the name too! lolx! but it tasted nice
as there were some couples among the 12 of us, we decided to play a game. i call the game "Let the fate decide ur sitting". we placed the 12 tickets on the table and each of us took turns to pick one. the gals were so crazy abt the idea ..but anywayz, i tot it was quite original. think it was me and sarah who came up wif this idea. i initially dimissed it as stupid, but the girls somehow got hyped up abt it, so i was like telling myself "ok..this is weird..y r they so happy abt it?" but anwyayz, since they liked it, we obliged lorz
true enuff, only 1 couple managed to pick the tickets where the seats were just beside each other..haha! being a gentleman i m (haha! maybe i m one larz...), i exchanged my ticket wif cho xiang so tt she could sit wif someone..hehez
it was a fun game larz..haha!
abt the movie..it was good! the best part of it was, i acutally understood the movie! i had initially entered the cinema thinking tt i would not understand a single thing since i have only watched one star war episode b4 and tt was like in year 1999, so i couldnt really remember the story line. but to my amazement, i actually could follow the storyline and enjoyed it! yea! worth the money!
after the movie, we dispersed, went our own ways. some went back to uni, some went home, some continued dating.
there r many more details tt i left out coz i m just too lazy to explain them. they include bowling and driving yewleong, stephen and natalie in my car frm the 8th storey of the carpark to the 4th storey to their car (dunno y they cant walkt down..lolx..maybe wanna test my driving,..lolx!)..and then picking sarah up frm the 3rd storey..haha! can understand? lolx! if not..it's ok..haha!

seems like there is a no. of ppl feeling the pressure of not doing well in the exams. well, it would be an understatement if i said i did not feel such a pressure. whenever exams r round the corner, i like to play a mental game wif myself. it's rather hard to explain but the whole gist of it is to convince urself tt there's nothing impossible to achieve. if u can conquer this, there isnt anything else u cannot corner. though exam is just one small thing relative to the many bigger things we will encounter in our lives, it is this building of the foundation tt will let u soar high into the sky.
the following extract was posted in my blog previously, but i think i shall post it agian to serve as a reminder to everyone to put the cup down everyday.
Stress Management

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an
audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "how
heavy is this glass of water? "
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The
lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't
matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. "

"If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I
hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right
arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an
ambulance. "In each case, it's the same weight, but
the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. "

He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress
management. If we carry our burdens all the time,
sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly
heavy, we won't be able to carry on. "

"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down
for a while and rest before holding it again. When
we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. "

"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of
work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up
tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let
them down for a moment if you can. " "Relax; pick them
up later after you've rested.

Life is short. Enjoy it!

the following 3 sentences r wat i always tell myself whenever i feel overwhelmed by things, hope it can inspire/motivate u guys too
"When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. i m tough, so just bring it on!"
"If i get tackled down, i swear tt i bounce back harder"
"The height of one's success is determined by how deep rock bottom one hits. Do not treat failures as a dead end. There is light at the end of the tunnel."

If u think some sounds familiar, coz it's on my friendster profile as well! lolx!

sigh sigh sigh...as expected..never gotta go red box. y? coz the frens whom i were supposed to go wif (they r all accounting students) had a change in their assignment qn. so they sort of had to meet up and consult the tutor today to clarify some stuff..
sighz..no one can imagine the kinda of disappointment i m experiencing now...counting down to this day for a few months, only to be thrown to hell a day b4 the planned session. think this has happened quite a few times already..
oso dun understand y they cancel the whole thing...the due date is only on next thur...they have the whole weekend to do the assignment..haiz..dunno them larz.
really hate it..really hate it..really hate it...dun wanna talk to anyone abt it now..

really miss yihao, allan, shu hui and yunxuan..we always go kbox together and sing. it;s so freaking tough to ask ppl over here to go singing lorz..dunno wat's up wif them..sigh sigh sigh....
maybe i have to get used to singing at red box alone. k, tt's stupid...
so wat m i doing for the whole of this friday? nothing...dl some jap songs..watching some anime show (Mahou Sensei Negima) and watching the Surdiman cup tonite (badminton..malaysia vs japan).

pls dun leave any msg consoling me or saying there's a next time..u will only piss me off more..coz the next time never comes!!!!!!!!!

miss u yihao, allan, shu hui and yunxuan...guess i can only remiscise the times we had together at kbox...yihao always singing david tao's songs, allan always challenging Xing Yue Tuan's songs, shu hui always hitting those high notes so nicely, yunxuan always asking me to sing duet songs wif her..haha! wonderful times then..

*a seemingly pissed off jaszz...*

p.s. i m not blaming anyone. i cant and i wun. just my luck.maybe it's just fate. anywayz, hope my accounting frens will be able to solve the assignment qns.

ohio! (good morning in jap..) was too lazy to blog yesterday coz i was watching badminton for most part of the day yesterday. the Surdiman Cup is being held now and Malaysia has beatern Germany and Russia in their Division.. yea!!! haha! malaysia badminton players r really good! after all, we have 3 men in the top 10 world ranking...jangan main main..lolx!
well, finally handed up our consumer behaviour grp assignment yesterday!!!! so happy! so relieved! so light! haha! after 10 weeks of toiling, my grp managed to overcome all odds and did well! (well, at least in my opinion..sekali results not good..lolx! but after all, we did our very best!) so a big thanx to sarah, jac and ky for making it a success..hope u had a better understanding of me in these 10 weeks..haha! i m a PERFECTIONIST! lolx!
oso had my individual presentation yesterday for consumer behaviour. was supposed to present 2 weeks agon but was kept delayed due to some circumstances. overall, i was very satisfied wif my performance. i managed to make my presentation quite a lively and noisy one (wif the class, not just myself alone), wif laughter in between. honestly speaking, i was quite surprised at the response of my tut class, given the quiet treatment they gave to other presenters in other weeks. overall, i think they had fun! haha! so hopefully, i can do well in my presentation? haha! my tutor remarked tt it was a thoroughly researched presentation..hehez..YEA! haha!
wokies..today is thur..one more assignment to hand up for this sem..handing it up tml and i m FREE!!! finally can go Red Box tml..gonna sing my lungs out! gonna sing till i get a sore throat and cant talk!!! hahaha! well, hopefully we can go red box..u know sometimes things dun go out as planned ya? *fingers crossed tightly..*

so tata and take care!

p.s. latest naruto episode was the best! sugoi!!!!!!!

hi ppl! been 1 week since i blogged..y? coz of exhaustion. didnt have the energy to blog. although i had hols frm last sat to tue, having classes from 9-5, 9-6, 8-11 and 9-11 from wedensday to saturday sort of offsets the rest i had for the hols? sighz.
anywayz, been very busy wif assignments for the past week. have 4 to submit next week...thak God i have completed 3 of them..the last one is a group assignment.
but anywayz, i think that the toughest time is over already. i can start to take things cooly...but not for long..coz exams will be knocking on the door soon! sighz..
had a lecture yesterday. was abt to go home when natheline asked me wanna go watch movie since they booked extra tickets and tt 1 ticket costed rm7. so i asked sarah along and the both of us plus natheline, yew leong and stephen went tp pyramid to watch Kingdom of Heaven.
this movie is 2.5 hours and i admit there were certain parts tt nearly put me to sleep..too draggy! haha! be prepared to be treated to a series of graphic and slightly uncensored fighting, killing, shooting and burning. it's best if u watch the movie on an empty stomach..haha! but dun worry, it's not tt graphic or gruesome..
after watching the movie..i was thinking y it was called the Kingdom of Heaven..in the end..my ans: no idea.... i just did not see how it was related in any way.
but anywayz, i was a little surprised that malaysia did not ban this movie as this movie is abt christians, jerusalems and muslims. the major part of the movie was war bw jerusalems and muslims...i tot malaysia would ban it on the basis of religion sensitivity. but anywayz, i could sense tt there was respect for each other's religion in the movie. this pt was emphasized quite a no. of times thru out the movie.

and b4 i log off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MUMS!,ESPECIALLY TO MY MUM! haha! sighz..the 2nd consective mother's day i m not beside my mum..those who r staying wif ur families..enjoy the precious moments wif ur mum. to those ppl like me where u r not wif ur parents, keep ur mum close to ur hearts always!
