courtesy from my bro, i m able to blog using his laptop. it's been exactly 7 days since my com crashed...signs are indicating tt i will be computerless all the way till after cny....i m really depressed without my com. life everyday at home is so routine..nothing special abt it. so wat i do everyday is read newspapers, learn more malay, revise business stats and watch tv.
for the 1st time..i cant wait to go back to singapore..coz i cant wait to use tt com...

a word of wisdom tt i learnt today " the height of ur sucess is determined by how far u hit rock bottom". to simplify it, failures are necessary in order to succeed. the more failures encountered, the higher level of success u will achieve. so dun fear failure. embrace it..

I believe tt i wun not be coming online or blogging till my com is fixed. I hope to settle this as soon as possible in a rational way. U wouldnt imagine how upset i was yesterday over certain issues.
Anyway, till then, take care and u can always sms me if necessary. so see ya!

so, last nite was the birthday potluck at jean's house. everyone had to bring some food and we share the food! so we were celebrating jean's, rachel's, kean yew's yew shen's and sarah's bday..all 5 on one day. of coz their burfdays not on the same day larz...but coz jean and rach leavin for aussie soon, we decided to celebrate one whole yr of burfdays in one day. too bad ailing and mine bday no celebration...haha!
if u read my previous blog entry, i said tt i had a small cut on my litle pinky due to some undisclosed reason. here's the reason, i cut it while preparing chicken for the potluck. hahaz! i couldnt say it then coz i wanted to give everyone a surprise! no one expected me to cook rite? esp from someone who would add water to fried rice....lolx!
well, the main reason y i decided to cook was due to rachel. since she asked to try my cooking b4 she leaves for aussie, i tot maybe i should just oblige and make her and the rest of my good good good good frens happy. so in preparation for the chicken i cooked, i dug out my mum's recipe and gave my mum a long distance phone call for consultation..lolx!
so after a long food preparation (buying, marinating and cooking of the chicken) yesterday, i brought my first time cooking to the potluck. m glad tt the chicken was tasty and tt my frens loved it..haha! so happy...on cloud 9 already..haha! esp sarah, asked me for recipe..haha! i dun give u..lalalala!
anywayz, had a great time last nite. ate, joked and laughed a lot! heart was even sweeter when i see ppl enjoying my chicken..hahaz! i sound very proud rite? haha! of coz larz, afterall my 1st time mahz!
after makan was some photography session which turned out quite to be a failure..coz someone's eyes were not open everytime the flash went off. i wonder who it was...ailing, who was it ahz?? haha!
after photography was cutting cake session. the cake was delicious..hehez! nicey nice! then we gave out presents!
yew shen and kean yew each received a t shirt. jean got a bag , rachel got a pair of earrings and a ring. sarah got a perfume. jean got a bag coz i did not like her yellow sling bag...haha! rachel got a pair of earrings coz she just pierced ear holes. with regards to y sarah got perfume, she said "means tt i m smelly larz" haha! of coz not sarah, it's becoz we think tt perfume fits ur character...hehez!
all in all, it was a good nite and i throughly enjoyed myself!

feeling rather paranoid now. everything seems to be going wrong this whole week. never felt like this b4. this week seems to be a very bad one since the start of the new year.
1stly, i had to deal with stupid bill problems. the auto pay system is not functioning properly and i dun receive the bills at all. so i have not paid 2 months of bills due to some unforseen circumstances. glad tt this prob is solved though...for now.
2ndly, i was supposed to go for driving class today. was sort of expecting this day to arrive coz i can finally get to drive. but sadly, my instructor called to say tt he had hypertension and class is postponed to this sat. when he 1st told me this, my 1st respond in my mind was "yea rite. i believe. u must be lying". i cant trust ppl lately. i dunno y. i dun seem to believe wat ppl say this week.
this driving thing is really driving me nuts. i have to complete the 12 hours and the toopid test by mid feb coz i dun want it to clash with my semester for some personal reasons. some more i wun be in KL from 4th to 14th Feb due to chinese new year. so i m really racing against time. pls, Mr. Rajah, be nicer to me....give me 6 hours of driving a week.
3rdly, it's my com tt's giving me problems. have u seen a firework coming out from ur com? mine does. one day, i switched on my com and i heard a big boom from my com. looked at the back of my com, electric sparks coming out from the fan ventilation hole. wow...i couldnt turn on my com tt whole afternoon. my bro came back at nite and formatted my com. everything seems alright for now. but somehow, i feel tt this computer is not as good as it used to be. my heart aches even more when i think abt this computer being less than 6 months old..
i think it's just a matter of time b4 this com crashes coz whenever i turn on the damn switch socket, i hear a big boom. think the electric current must be too large.
4thly, i accidentally cut my little pinky (the finger) while doing something. fortunately it's a small cut. will disclose the reason for the cut in time to come.
in conclusion, i definitely m not feeling happy abt this week. everyting is going awry and i dun like it. sad sad sad....sigh sigh sigh....

sigh sigh sigh...i m really sick of going down to Telekom to voice my problem only to be told "i dunno" by irresponsible staff members. so i wrote a complaint letter and submitted it online this morning. below is wat i wrote to them. it explains my problem with telekom clearly. perhaps u can also learn how to write complaint letters after reading this.lolx!

"I am writing to express my utter disappointment and dejection over the failure to receive my telephone bills. Ever since signing up for the Telekom service in August 2004, I have yet to receive any telephone bills. The only bill received was the bill for October and this was only received in December.
Despite countless calls and personal trips to the Telekom branch at Subang Jaya, no one seems to be able to solve my problem. The address to which the bill should be sent to has been checked many times and it is ascertained that there is no error to it.
Things are not made better when the Customer Service staff at Subang Jaya says "I don't know" with regards to my problem.
With the staff's failure to even attempt to help me, I am left clueless and helpless.
I also propose that Telekom's "Bills are only sent once" policy, as told by one of ur staff members, be reviewed as it is totally unfair to consumers like me. How would I know whether the amount that I am asked to pay is the true amount when there is no evidence of the list of calls I made?
Moreover, it only casts doubts as to whether my Telekom bills are ever sent as I never had problems receiving my other bills such as Internet, Astro and electricity bills.
I sincerely propose that the billing system be checked and reviewed. I do not understand why I am having problems receiving bills from Telekom. It is rather a huge disappointment given Telekom's status in the country.
I hope that this matter would be given serious attention as it has not been solved after 4 months. A speedy resolution to this frustrating problem would be very much appreciated and will definitely enable me to regain confidence in Telekom. Thank you."

went to safety driving centre wif my bro today for my 3 hour basic driving class. but hey hey, contrary to popular belief, we did not drive! wat did we do?
hmmz..my instructor, Mr. Rajah, just told me and my bro to sign on some forms to confirm our 3 hour attendance. in short, he didnt want to carry out the 3 hour job. instead, he just left us wif another instructor for some lessons abt the engine and car. to my surprise, i thought tt the lessons i had was more applicable for the 3 hour maintenance theory class i had last sat. we learnt abt the engine, pumps, filter, battery and all sorts of fluid (battery, brake, engine).
so the supposed 3 hour class ended in abt 1.5 hours. was really KISS (kept it stupid simple).
but anywayz, Mr. Rajah is a nice guy..jokes wif me and my bro. cant really blame him for not guiding us for the 3 hour actual thing...but i guess this is just sdc's culture? or malaysian culture? lolx. get it over and done wif.
anywayz,...will start my 1st driving lesson very soon...most prob next week coz i need to give him a call tml where he will fix a date wif me. so Mr. Rajah, be prepared for a horseride!!!! (those who drove for the 1st time would get wat i mean rite?? lolx)

13th Jan will go down a long way to remember. it was the day where 5 malaysian states had no electricity. the state i m living in, selangor, was not spared from this toopid incident.
i was not home when the blackout happened. i was shopping for some groceries in Giant located at Asia Jaya (opp Armada Hotel)at abt 12:25pm. i was making my way to the cashier where i noticed the light bulbs flickered once and boom! no lights! the immediate response: cheers fomr the staff members....gila is wat i can only say.
spent 15 mins at the cashier coz they had to reboot the whole system. during the wait, i asked the cashier whether she could just take note the prices and collect cash and just return the change as usual. she said cant. she said tt she had to use the system.
wehn the customers were increasingly frustrated, the manager ran out and helped to reboot the system. the scanner was back to normal and after i paid, the manager instructed the other cashiers whose system have not been rebooted to just write down the prices and collect money....really felt like punching the cashier lorz...never listen to me! dia sangat teruk!!!! see me small boy dun listen to me larz...malaysia, THINK AND BE MORE FLEXIBLE! BEND THE RULES BUT NOT BREAK THE RULES!!!!!
anywayz, i thought tt the black out was only confined to the whole buiding there (coz the other shops also suffered frm blackout), but my bro gave me a call to inform me tt our house oso had no electricity.
it was only later tt i found out tt a large area had been affected.
when i reached home, i was thankful tt the lifts were operating (but only 2 of the 4 were functioning), so i was spared of climbing 18 storeys
having no electricity is really depressing. had to shower wif cold water (reminds me of my camping days though..lolx). cant switch on my com. no tv to watch. the only thing u could do was to stone. so i chose to bring out my business stats notes to revise. then took a short nap...and waited. i even brought out candles as standby in case electricity was not restored by nightfall.
finally, at 4:30pm, my lights and fans came on..and here i m to write my expeirence of having no electricity. seriously, i m hopping tt someone's head will roll as a sign of taking responsibility for the serious blackout. so much economic loss and personal inconvenience is sustained...i dun think tt a simple sorry will do. someone must resign. but knowing malaysia's style...they will treat it as though nothing happened....
malaysia, truly asia??

today was the last day of wendy's and yao hua's stay in malaysia. they should be on their bus now on the way back to singapore. poor yao hua, have class at 10am tml...lolx! if i m not wrong, he will only reach home after 3am. hope he has enuff rest though!
anywayz, my bro, me, james, wendy and yao hua had lunch at ss14. ate bak kut teh. my 1st time eating...very nice! haha! and oso very filling. in fact, we could smell the soup fragrance from afar....bagus!
after lunch, we made our way to Mid Valley. the only thing we did was...MAKAN! we proceeded straight to the basement of the shopping centre and bought alot of food as we walked. we ate popiah, machi, fruit tart, cheese cake, malay kuey and drank some drinks frm Auntie Anne's .
took some weird photos at mid valley oso...becoz we had nothing to do liaoz. haha!
we made our way back home...in fact we were sort of rushing home coz we were short of time. wendy and yao hua had to pack their stuff b4 setting off to puduraya to board their bus.
as we walked home from the KTM station at Setia Jaya, the sun was setting and yao hua took a nice photo of light rays breaking thru the sky. wendy and yao hua began commenting tt it's been a long time since they saw beautiful sunsets...coz u dun get much of a chance to see sunsets and beautiful light rays. over here, they were treated to broad skies and a life tt is less fast paced than singapore. in wendy's own words "aiyaz, dun wanna go back singapore already". it's rare tt u have a wide view of the sky in singapore coz singapore has too many tall buidlings liaoz...sky scrappers and those HDB flats...the sky is blocked!
wendy and yao hua's trip here to malaysia has let me see another beautiful side of malaysia. they made me realise the very small things tt i never realised here in malaysia. they make me feel prouder of malaysia. the food, culture, train system, the ppl.
to wendy and yao hua, ur stay here wif me has been a very enjoyable one and thank you very much for the great memories. i hope tt u have enjoyed urselves as much as i did. it's been great to know the both of u better. come to think of it, who would have thought tt we would all meet and gather in malaysia after so many yrs. cheers to our new found frenship!

~ 6:25 AM ~
sorry guys! couldnt wirte blog yesterday coz i only reached home at 2am this morning..lolx! i seem to be getting worse...lolx! but it's fun! malaysia's happening!
so let me share wif u all wat i did yesterday on the 2nd day of outing wif my bro, his gf (jiayi),james (bro and my fren), the 2 singapore frens (yao hua and wendy), jia le (jiayi's sis) and Kang jie (jiayi's cousin).
in the morning, we (me, my bro, wendy, yao hua and james) had a breakfast at a mamak stall near my place....we ordered roti canai, roti telur and roti kaya. we had a big shock of our lives when the food arrived! it was very big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it was also very filling. i only had a roti canai and a roti telur but i was already 120% full. i forced everything down coz i thought it would be a waste of food if i did not finish it. the other person who finished his food was yao hua. my bro, wendy and james could not finish their breakfast. they were too full. esp james, he orderd 2 roti kaya, think he only finished less than half of them...tt was how filling it was. lolx! the way he ate...very farnie! so messy to the extent tt it seemed like the more he ate, the more roti kaya was left remaining.
anywayz after tt, we made our way to Times Square via KTM (a train) and monorail (malaysia's train system is really good! no joke!). as james was dying to play the theme park, we obliged....reluctantly..lolx! okz, it was me who was reluctant..coz i really had a bad feeling tt something was gonna happen. for some reason, my bro did not play wif us...so sad..last yr, he was the one who dragged me into the theme park. now, despite the 4 of us beging him, he still refused wif a smile...while, maybe he wanted to wait for his gf to arrive to meet us there.
anywayz, we took some rides...i took 3 rides and tt was it. i vomitted. y? my heavy breakfast was not digested yet and all the 360 spinning horizontally and vertically made me feel very sick and giddy. as soon as the 3rd ride ended, i jumped over the barricade fence and headed straight towards the toilet. i vomitted curry out. lolx!
sorry james! scared u like hell on the 3rd ride. haha! he was so scared tt i may vomit on him. dun worry larz! i have very strong willpower onez..can tahan for as long as i can.
anywayz, after i vomitted, was still feeling a bit giddy, so i took a nap on a bench for abt a half hour while james, wendy and yao hua continued playing, they played the bumper car and the roller coaster. they took the roller coaster twice! and for both times, they sat in front! kudos to them!
anywayz, just a personal feeling, compared to james who is at the same age as me, i feel so old! he was so enthu abt all the rides and so daring! he took so many rides while i was KO after the 3rd ride...laoz! m i tt weak??? i hope not manz!
after pplaying, we met up wif jia yi, jia le and kang jie. made our way to petaling street for makan. we ate 'zhu cha' and ordered 1 plate of noodles and another plate of gravy kuew teow. was very nice coz as james explained, the shop wws famous for its food as they use coal fire to cook, not gas. so there was a taste of the coal in the food, which was very good. and oh yah btw, where can u get to eat at a table in front of Hong Leong Bank?? only in malaysia!!!! haha! true malaysian style manz!
after makan, went to Bintang walk. took some photos. then made our way back home. think the only farnie thing tt happened was yao hua stepping into a pond of water outside an ice cream shop coz the water was so quiet tt it looked like a panel of glass. lolx! for the record, he was wearing a pair of new shoes! haha! so looks like the shoes has been cleansed of all sins..
anywayz, after my bro, me, yao hua and wendy reached home. we got a surprise doorbell visit! it was james, jia yi , jia le, and kang jie. we thought tt they had gone home too. but apparently, all of us were still hungry so they joined us for yum cha. so touched! it was really out of my expectation. so we went out to a makan place just outside our condo and yum cha till 1:45am. coolz man! the 2nd time yum cha past 12am. the 1st was at SS2. but anywayz, it was really nice and fantastic.
during yum cha, found out tt yao hua was also frm the same pri school as me. then we began resmicising the old times we had at pri school. the games my bro and i played when we were young. and how we would always travel to jurong west (in singapore) to buy game diskettes. it was really heartwarming to me!
all in all, it was a good day tt i cant ask for more. going out later again for our 3rd and final day of sightseeing. so sad, wendy and yao hua leaving today. but anywayz, all parties have to come to an end rite?
THANKZ FOR HAVING PATIENCE TO READ ANOTHER LONG BLOG!!!! lolx! terima kasih!!! love u guys!

~ 8:27 PM ~
wow...it's 1:15am now on the sunday morning. saturday was a day with some new experiences.
sat morning was my 3 hour driving maintainence theory class...as usual, waiting was the norm and the lecturer talked out of point for abt 1.5 hours. only the remaining 1.5 hours was regarding the topic of maintainence. sighz...
my bro's frens came over from singapore to KL today. staying wif us for a few days. they are wendy and yao hua. gosh! they are so kind! lolx! been a long time since i met them. well, back in singapore, they used to come to our house often, but i never really said hi or interacted wif them. had a good day wif them today.
to play hosts, as usual, we (me, my bro, bro' gf and james) brought our guests to Ming Tien to makan. Ming Tien ish not the one at pyramid. it;s somewhere else...hehez! i dunno the place coz i was not paying attention to the road sign. anywayz, tat place was raelly a food paradise! so many stores, so many choices. in the end, we had so much food on our table: chicken rice, noodles, chicken wings, 30 sticks of satay, stingray, sotong, carrot cake. had a very sumptuos meal....malaysian style! the place decor really reflected the malaysian style of relaxation! really loved the place.
after dinner, we went to SS2 for some deserts.
went home after desert. i took jame's car while the rest followed my bro's gf car. i had a scary time. 1stly, james' car could not start. after a few times, the stubborn engine finally started...but the whole journey was rather...'mind choppy'. i was afraid tt the car will break downhalfway. alas! at a traffic junction in front of Amarda Hotel, smoke was coming out of the car bonnet. both james and i panicked a little bit but regained composure within a short time. engine was switched off, hazard lights turned on. but hey, our car was blocking the traffic,. we were the 2nd car from the front. so in the end, we decided to turn the engine back on and drive on. but instead of joining the Fed Highway, we went straight on to stop opp Hilton hotel to check the car. coz i was really scared tt the whole engine may catch on fire.
so we stopped, contacted my bro to meet us there. opened the bonett...something was wrong with the radiator. or rather, there was some sort of 'hose puncture' and water was leaking out. james contacted his parents and all of us were waiting at the road side for his parents to arrive. it was a rather wonderful expeirnece...standing at the road side after 12am. enjoying the cool weather. talking. really had a whale of a time..weirdly though..haha! i mean, after all, it was a car breakdown.
and oso, my knowleddge gained in the driving thoery class this morning applied as we had to identify wat was wrong wif the engine..started identifying the car parts...hypothesising wat was wrong. haha! talking abt practical.
anywayz, we left when james' parents arrioved...seems like his dad has some experience on wat to do.
think tt today was really an unforgettable day! coolz!
cheeres!

hi ppl! long time no see! lolx! rite now, my right leg is aching like crazy from the badminton game i had wif my bro and frens on mon...been 2 days and still aching. so ppl, remember, b4 doing strenuous exercise, remember to do thorough stretching exercises!
badminton on mon was good...still had my touch...but as usual, i cant smash coz i dunno how to..after so many years. sometimes by luck i can smash..but when i need to ..i cant..lolx! rach, can teach me?
so after badminton on mon, we went to my bro's gf house to shower and makan malam. ordered food from a jap restaurant. sangat sedap! too bad they dun have delivery services for the sunway area..so my stomach tak bahagia liaoz...sigh..lolx!
after dinner..we watched tiger cup..malaysia vs indoneasia...dun wanna talk abt it..totally humiliating....sigh...if only the malaysian soccer players are fitter a bit.
after the disappointing tiger cup, played some games...there werre 6 of us...played all sort of games...dunno the names of their games. just some farnie card games and guessing games. was a whole lot of fun.
then we went ss2 yum cha..my 1st time i had yum cah so late...at abt 12:30am. the drive to SS2 was coolz...so little cars..nice night lights..very serene atmosphere. after yumcha. bro's gf's cousin sent us home..reached home at abt 1:15am..
and on tue (4/1), went to pyramid to meet up frens (rachel, ailing, jean, yew shen) with our ex business stats tutor, Mr. Chong @ Ah Chong...lolx! he is still the same ...same hairstlye (gosh..time to try something new!), same clothing, same style..same status (single...lolx). but one thing has changed...he very generous...thanx for the lunch lector! as usual, after lunch, we spent abt 3 hours talking...i just wonder how come we can keep talking for so long and so much. think jean was the busiest, not only was she talking, she was busy saying 'Hi!" to frens who happened to walk past the makan place we were at.
after lunch, went hagaendazz for ice cream...was mine and ah chong's 1st time eating..not bad...and oh ya...i paid for all the ice cream!!!! jean, pls remember to pay me back..thanx. and after ice cream, we talked again...maybe for another 1 hour..lolx!
so tt was abt wat i did for tue.
went bowling wif frens today...though my leg was hurting, i still wanted to bowl coz i couldnt resist the temptation. given my leg condition, think i bowled not too bad..

and so..tt sums up wat i wanna write lolx! had some complaints tt my blogs are too long..lolx! wat to do? my england so powderful...lolx!
seeya!

~ 5:37 PM ~
i just watched the TIger Cup semi final leg 2 between singapore and myanmar. though i did not watch the first 80 min of soccer, i continued watching the extra time part. and i was totally disgusted by wat i saw on tv. would u believe me if i said tt i saw more fists, punches, kicking, scolding, fighting, brawling, scowling than football? hard to believe...but it was true. credit should be given to myanmmar for making history by entering the semi finals...however, they should also be condemned on their behaviour. can u imagine a player kicking mud at the referee? a substitue goalkeeper throwing a water bottle full of water at a singapore player from bench side? a player elbowing a singapore player? and many many more....for ur info, myanmar only had 8 players in the extra time...
not only were the myanmar players loosing their cool, so were the myanmar fans. policeman were sent up to the spectator seats as myanmar fans were showing signs of frustration and irritation...to the extent of small rioting.
truthfully speaking, i felt kinda of sorry for the myanmar playing team..those 8 players. into extra time, singapore kicked in 2 goals within 6 min. tehre was no hope of them winning. however, the 8 of them showed gut and determination...the epitomy of the never say die attitude was shown. however, it was the myanmar side bench tt was creating the problems. wat a surprise. the 8 players were just trying to complete the match but the benchside players were really intolerable, disrupting the match by throwing a water bottle at a player. they were the ones who were involved in the brawls when 1 occured...not the 8 players. i felt sorry for the 8 myanmar players. whenever each brawl ended, it was those 8 players tt shook hands wif the singapore players to apologise. here, they had to tolerate the humiliation of a 4-2 defeat and at the same time, they had to apologise for wat their side bench players did. i really feel very sorry for them...a feeling very rarely experienced whenever i watch football.
the singapore side is no better too. i have to admit tt their level of play has improved since the last time i saw them play (due to better imported players...such as Casmir and someone else...), however the way of handling themselves in disputes is totally irrational. sometimes i ask where are their brains? when a player confront u, i think tt the best way to avoid further trouble is just to walk away and not involve urself into a push and then fight game. by involving urself in the fight, u face the risk of a yellow card and then u r suspended frm the finals match which ur team has already cruised into. so, the singapore players tried to show tt not only they could play football, they could fight too....bravo....no credits for them though..
i m oso disgusted by the way the singapore fans were behaving, myanmar was already down wif 8 players, fighting galiantly, and yet, those singapore fans were still booing the myanamr players whenever they had possesion. those fans still had the cheek to sing songs such as "nananana nanananana, hey hey good bye". where is the sense of humility tt singaporeans always claim to have? so i guess tt action has spoken for itself...humility and not being boastful is just all but crap talk. ( no offence to anyone though..just expressing my thoughts). perhaps singapore should rememebr the 4-0 defeat 2 yrs ago at the very same place? wat were the fans doing then? they kept silent....so now after they have entered the finals, they can jeer at others?
even if singapore wins the Tiger Cup, there is nothing to be proud of as though they may have won the honours, they still lack in sportsmanship. in fact, i wonder whether the win, or the brawls tt they went thru will be in the limelight. as for now, Tiger Cup is an ugly game tt pales so much in comparison to the UEFA cup and EPL.
Tiger Cup has lost it's respect, glory and meaning. there is no pride in fighting wif punches just for a silver cup...really....

~ 10:02 AM ~
so, we have come to the last day of 2004. i realised that as we grow older, yaers seem to be passing faster than we expect. perhaps it's the faster pace of life we have to get used to as we grow...talking abt efficiency. so, today being the last day of 2004, i think it would be nice to look back on wat i have done in 2004.
i think the happiest moment tt occurred this year is with no dispute my excellent A level results. 4 As, 2 B3s and a merit for my econs special paper. i can still remember the day of release of results. i was queing up, waiting to get my results slip from my form tutor, Ms Ho. when it was my turn, she saw me and said in a light-hearted manner "
jason, u can go back to the end of the queue. u scored straight As." when i first heard it, i was in disbelief. coz 4 As was totally not in my expectations. i only expected 2. nevertheless, i was jumping for joy as i finally put a right to a wrong 3 years ago..my O levels. when i was receiving my o level results in 2002, i still remembered wat my form tutor said to me when she passed me my results slip. she shook her head and said "jason, u did not get the results u want." and obviously, the results were bad. it was after this incident tt i changed..changed for the better thankfully.
the hardest decision i had to make for 2004 was whether to continue my education in singapore or to pursue my education somewhere else. after all, it was my dream in 2001 to go Austrailia and study after my O levels (but was not realsied due to some unforseen circumstances). things were made more complicated with my A level results (an irony?? maybe..). this is becoz, i was offered a place in NUS. also, many believed tt stayin on in singapore would benefit me. so apparently, remaining in singapore was the best option. i dun deny tt singapore university education is good. but as i told my fren b4 i left, i go for a good option, not neceesarily the best option. it's similar to "the right man for the right job, not the best man for the best job". i needed a new environment. i wanted to become more independent and take up more challenges. i want to see the world out there. i wanted to get out of the box. so instead of walking down a straight road, i decided to make a turn and exit from the main road.
so here i m in malaysia and hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, i will be in Austrailia by july next yr. the keywords here are "if nothing goes wrong". always expect the unexpected...
the most depressing time here in malaysia was the initial stage when i had to adapt to the place here. was not used to the culture and ppl. but as time passed by, i gradually adapted to the place and love the place. though there r many aspects of malaysia tt only singapore is good at, i have come to accept these flaws in malaysia..after all, this is malaysia. lolx. shall take this opportunity to thank those ppl who helped my transition when i came to malaysia. they are, rachel, ailing, jean, keanyew, sarah, gim keat, sebrina, joanna, yew shen, gary, sin fui, meng, toulead, julianna, mr. chong, alex, brian, wuan ling, loohui and many many more. TERIMA KASIH!!!
the most rewarding part in my stay in malaysia is firstly, all da great frens tt i have here. secondly, i have learnt to become more independent and m now mentally stronger. gone are the days when i could rely everything on my parents. i have learnt to take more control of my life and make decisions by myself. sometimes, things here in malaysia can really make ur blood boil, but i have to face it calmly and overcome such problems myself. when u encounter a prob, solve it immediately, dun ask y it happened. ask y only after the prob it has been solved.
i have oso encountered a very heart wrenching moment here in malaysia. however, as it is very personal, i shall not say it. hehez...this is my right of privacy..lolx!

so i guess this is wat i can say abt 2004. and i hope tt 2005 will be a better year for u and i. all da best ppl! cheers to 2005!
